Located along the Sunrise Trail 25 minutes north of Antigonish is the picturesque community of Ballantyne’s Cove. Nestled at the Northwestern end of St. George’s Bay on the Northumberland Strait, it is a popular destination for sailors and Sunday drivers alike with its wharf, 40 slip marina, the Tuna Interpretive Centre and Ballantyne’s Cove Beach.  You can’t miss the ‘Fish & Ships’ snack bar for some of the best fish & chips and seafood chowder anywhere.
