You will find Rushton Beach Provincial Park, 4 km (2.5 mi) east of the tiny community of Brule nestled along the Northumberland Shore. There you will find and wonderful boardwalk and sheltered picnic grounds as well as a change house and vault toilets. Rushton Beach is known for having the warmest salt water in Nova Scotia and broad sandbars at low tide that stretch along the shore for over a mile. The salt marsh skirting the area attract a great variety of birds.
